Dr. Dalilah Restrepo | Ticked Off | May 30th 2018 | MD for Moms Radio

MD For Moms Radio, Every Wednesday 1pm (ET) on The BBM Global Network, TuneIn and iHeartRadio or as a podcast on iTunes.

This week on MD for Moms, I’ll be interviewing NYC Infectious Disease specialist Dr. Dalilah Restrepo about common summer infections and what to do about them. Summer means being outdoors, playing in the grass or sand, and having fun. But, being in nature also means exposure to ticks and mosquitos, which can carry diseases.

What can parents do to reduce the chance of a tick bite, and how can we safely get rid of that tick if it’s stuck on our little one? What are common signs and symptoms of Lyme disease and what should we do if anyone in the family might have it? We will also explore the current Zika situation and where we can travel safely at this point, along with much more.

Have a question for Dr. Dalilah Restrepo about ticks, Lyme or any infectious disease?
