MD For Moms Radio, Every Wednesday 1pm (ET) on The BBM Global Network, TuneIn and iHeartRadio or as a podcast on iTunes.
This week on MD for Moms, I interview Dr. Amy Comander, hematologist oncologist who specializes in the care of women with breast cancer. 1 in 8 or 12% of women will develop breast cancer in her lifetime, so the likelihood is that we know or will be personally affected by this disease. As such, we can all likely benefit from understanding more about the various forms of breast cancer, treatments and ways to support ourselves or a loved one impacted by the illness. This is where Dr. Comander comes in – she explains all of the above and more on our show. Dr. Comander also introduces the newest treatments and adjunct therapies to make chemotherapy and recovery easier, as well as explains the value of having a support network.
