Dr. Korin Hudson | Head In The Game | Jan 31st 2018 | MD for Moms Radio

MD For Moms Radio, Every Wednesday 1pm (ET) on The BBM Global Network, TuneIn and iHeartRadio or as a podcast on iTunes.

This week on MD for Moms, I interview sports medicine and emergency medicine physician Dr. Korin Hudson of MedStar Sports Medicine in Washington, DC about sports injuries, training and safety on and off the field. Do you know the signs of a concussion? Is it safe to stay home and wake your child up every hour or should you rush him or her to the pediatrician or to the emergency room? What are the risks of one concussion or of multiple head injuries? Is it safe for children to play contact sports at all and if it is, what protective measures should we as parents insist on to minimize risk for the short and long term? If your child wants to play any sport then you should know the answers to these questions – Dr. Hudson will clue us in and explain all of this and much more on this week’s show.
