MD For Moms Radio, Every Wednesday 1pm (ET) on The BBM Global Network, TuneIn and iHeartRadio or as a podcast on iTunes.
This week on MD for Moms, I’ll be interviewing Dr Frieda A. Fotouh, child and adolescent psychiatrist, about why children may under perform in school. Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder or ADHD is only one of multiple reasons kids may struggle in the classroom, socially and at home. Dr. Fotouh will explain the key signs that your child could be doing better and how to help him or her thrive. We will discuss the differences between learning disabilities and attentional issues, and review treatment options. Should medications be utilized? Are alternative approaches safe or effective? How can we help our kids succeed without subjecting them to undue side effects? What happens to kids without treatment? Learn the answers to these questions and many more on this important and valuable show.
